Stock Thermal Transfer and Direct Thermal Labels
Stock direct thermal and thermal transfer labels are available in a wide range of sizes and materials, blank or printed. Direct thermal labels suit short-term uses like shipping and fulfillment. Thermal transfer labels, printed with a ribbon, hold up better where barcodes must stay readable longer. Special thermal transfer labels are available when the job needs a different material, adhesive or durability level.
EDP / Pinfeed and Sheeted Labels
EDP and pinfeed labels are continuous-feed label stock for dot matrix, impact, line and other tractor-feed printers, available in single-across or multi-across formats. Sheeted labels come in flat sheets for hand application, smaller quantities or sheet-fed printers, in different sheet sizes, layouts, materials and adhesives. For EDP quotes, include the carrier width, number across and whether horizontal perforations are needed. For sheeted labels, include the sheet size and number of labels per sheet.
Choosing the Right Label Stock
Label size, roll format, core size, material, adhesive, ribbon compatibility, application surface and operating environment all affect which stock label fits. Materials include paper, polypropylene, polyester and other synthetics, with permanent, removable and freezer adhesive options, on rolls, sheets or fanfold. If you're replacing a label you already use, a sample, photo or existing part number is often the fastest way to find the right stock label.
