Tamper-Evident Labels and VOID Security Seals

Tamper-evident labels show when something has been opened, moved or removed. SPE Labels supplies them for product and packaging seals, asset and equipment security, warranty and void seals, and closure seals on food and pharma packaging.

We help match the facestock, adhesive and print method to the surface and how the item is handled, and we recommend testing on your actual packages before a full run.

Why Tamper-Evident Labels Matter

A plain label can be peeled off and put back, and nobody would know. A tamper-evident label is built so that removing or lifting it leaves evidence.

That evidence lets a receiver, inspector or customer see that a package, panel or product was opened after it left your hands.

What Makes a Tamper-Evident Label Work

A tamper-evident label is a construction: facestock, adhesive and liner, plus the print method. The pieces have to work together.

Destructible facestock. The label is made to break apart when someone tries to remove it, so it cannot be lifted off in one piece and reapplied.

VOID pattern. When the label is peeled, a pattern such as the word VOID is left behind, so the removal is visible on the label or on the surface.

Adhesive. The bond has to match the surface, such as corrugated, plastic, glass, metal or film. Tell us the surface and we match the adhesive.

Print method. If the seal needs a barcode, serial number or fixed wording, tell us and we will confirm how it can be printed.
